Who Is Going to Pay for the Medical Bills in a Personal Injury Case?
You have in a personal injury case, assuming you’re going to have medical bills, you’re going to have an insurance policy that has what is called a med pay provision. It’s the contractual right that you have. Your insurance policy will provide med pay coverage, and so in the short run, or with the first bills, and maybe with all of them, you’ll have sufficient coverage under the med pay provisions.
Ultimately, the person who is responsible – we have fault based system – so the person or entity that is at fault is responsible for the payment of medical bills.
