Ronald Young
Law Clerk
Ronald Young is a native of Memphis and a double Vol, having earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Tennessee. Named the Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis Scholar for his commitment to the ideals of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s life, Ronald played a key role in law school. His leadership extended across various organizations and initiatives, including raising nearly $100,000 for the College of Law.
From a young age, Ronald knew that the law was his calling, and today, that dream is becoming a reality. His legal career began through the Memphis Bar Association's Summer Law Internship Program, which brought him to Bailey & Greer. Starting out by shredding papers, Ronald has steadily worked his way up and is now on the path to becoming an associate at the firm.
Ronald helped start the Bailey & Greer Giveback program, reflecting his commitment to using the law as a force for community service. He also co-authored a piece with Sadler Bailey for the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association titled “Rehabilitation of a Juror and Discussion about Liability Insurance – The Two Most Misunderstood Topics We Face in Jury Selection.”
Deeply involved in numerous legal circles, Ronald is known for his warm personality—he never meets a stranger. He is regularly called upon to speak on leadership and serves as a mentor to many young people seeking a better tomorrow. Outside of his professional life, Ronald is a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and enjoys golfing and traveling in his free time. Passionate about being a zealous advocate, Ronald looks forward to fighting for justice for the injured. He is eager to continue his journey as an associate upon successful completion of the February 2025 bar exam and admission by the Tennessee Board of Bar Examiners.
