Jodi Black

Jodi attended the University of Manitoba, and graduated with her Bachelor of Nursing degree in 1992. Jodi has experience working in the surgical Intensive Care Unit, the cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, the heart catheterization lab, and in Labor and Delivery.

After graduating from Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2004, Jodi worked for a medical malpractice firm defending physicians and insurance companies who had been sued for medical malpractice. Although she enjoyed the challenge of defending doctors and hospitals, Jodi realized that her true calling was in representing patients and families who had been devastated by medical malpractice.  She switched sides and has never looked back. Jodi has tried cases in General Sessions, Circuit Court, Federal Court, and has achieved multiple verdicts on behalf of injured people. With a multi-million-dollar jury verdict and more than 50 million dollars in settlements, she is a force to be reckoned with.
