Father of Four Dead After Hernando, MS Car Crash

An emergency room nurse is dead after a fatal Mississippi car accident near Hernando, MS in DeSoto County.

The Mississippi car accident occurred at about 4 p.m. on November 3, 2012. Thirty-seven-year-old Timothy Brigman was driving north on McCracken Road near Vinson Road when a southbound Ford F-150 pick-up truck swerved over the center lane and crashed head-on into his vehicle. After the crash, Brigman’s body had to be extricated from his car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brigman’s six-year-old son Timothy was also in the car. Timothy was taken by ambulance to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis where he remains in critical, but stable condition.

The driver of the pick-up truck was taken to the Regional Medical Center at Memphis for treatment of minor injuries.  He was treated and released. It is not known if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. The accident is still under investigation and charges have not been filed.

As Memphis accident attorneys, we hear many tragic stories. We realize that these news stories are real people, not just names and numbers. Our hearts go out to the family of Mr. Brigman. Mr. Brigman was the father of four children and had been employed for five years as a nurse in the emergency department at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto. He is survived by his wife who is also a nurse at Baptist Memorial Hospital. The Mississippi accident attorneys at Bailey & Greer would like to offer our condolences to the Brigman family. We are truly sorry for your loss.
